| History |
- March 2004: Enacted a special law for the improvement of the quality of life of agricultural, forestry and fishery population as well as the facilitation of regional development, and decided to carry out a survey titled the Survey on Actual Condition of Welfare, Education & Regional Development
- Aug. ~ Nov. 2004: Approved the Survey on Actual Condition of Welfare, Education & Regional Development as designated statistics and carried out the survey (Outsourcing by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry)
- March 2008: Transferred the survey to the Statistics Korea according to the revision of governmental organization
- Sep. 2008: Carried out the survey
- Oct. 2008: Changed the Korean survey title
