Numbers of foreign professors employed in Korean univer...

Jonathan Panton
I'm conducting empirical I/O psychology research on levels of worker psychological capital, perceived organisational support and rates of employee well-being, specifically in foreign professors working at universities in Korea. In order to calculate a minimum sample size for this research, I need to base it on the target population. Therefore, I was wondering if there is any way of finding out these figures.

I have already looked on the Korean Ministry of Education website, and I could not find relevant information; moreover, the data published on the English version of the MOE website was from 2007.

Is there a way to gather numbers in order to make an informed guess? I am aware that the E-1 visa is used for foreigner professors employed in Korea. However, there are others who may have residency/marriage visas. However, any information shedding light on this would be most welcome.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,

Jonathan Panton
