To whom it may concern

I have recently found out that I was adopted by my foster parents in the United States.
I have been trying to locate my biological mother in South Korea for the past two years but I have not been able to locate her.
I was wondering if there is a public death registry where I can check to see if she is still alive.

Many blessings and thank you
Answer Statistics Korea/2019-10-18
Dear Daniel,

Thank you for visiting the KOSIS website.

According to the Statistics Act, Statistics Korea should provide statistical information where personal information can not be identified.

I advise you to contact Korea Adoption Services or an agency related to your adoption when finding your biological mother. Please visit the following webpage.

http://www.kadoption.or.kr/en/root/adpt_info.jsp

I hope you will locate your mother as soon as possible.

Thank you.
