Greetings. My name is Louis Philippe Nuqui. I am currently a 4th year student in the University of Santo Tomas taking Asian Studies. Currently, I am pursuing my thesis regarding the "Role of Confucianism and Education Fever in Low Fertility in South Korea". However, I am facing a lack of data; specifically, I require statistics that show the "number of children ever born by age group of married females per province". I have already scoured through the KOSIS database, as well as other possible databases that could provide the data that I need, for several hours. However, I fail to acquire what I need. In this regard, I was wondering if there was any way I could gain access to this information. If yes, I would like to request a copy of it. It is a crucial part of my thesis and I am worried it cannot be accomplished without this data. Thank you.

Dear Louis Philippe Nuqui, Thank you for visiting the KOSIS website and using birth data of Vital Statistics. You're looking for data of 'Number of births by age group of married females by province'. On the KOSIS website, statistical tables under the same title are not provided. In the meantime, similar data can be found on the following webpages. Data path: http://www.kosis.kr - Domestic Statistics - Statistics by Topic - Population - Vital Statistics - Birth ① * Live births by age group of mother and duration of cohabitation: Provinces (1993~2020) * This statistical table is disseminated only on the Korean-version KOSIS website. ② Live births by marital legitimacy: Province (1981~2020) * This statistical table is disseminated on the Korean-version and the English-version KOSIS website. Best regards, Statistics Korea
